Back side has parts of other articles. Text in French. Map size ix 7x9 inches on a partial page that is 9.5x10 inches. The map shows the Taku Forts, the scene of an important battle during the Boxer Rebellion - the forts were near the Pei-ho River, about 37 miles south of Tianjin. The map also shows the camps of various armies including English, French, Sikhs and Tartars, other forts and villages near Tianjin (Pe-tang, Si-kou, Sing-ho). Very good condition.
