An elegant skirt from the 1890's.
Label - none - probably homemade.
Color - light blue & white stripes
Fabric - cotton chambray
Description - classic 1890's style - set-on waistband, flat in front, many gathers at the back of the waist, sweeping skirt, small train.  Fastens in back w/a hook & eye.
Size - small - actual measurement s- waist 23", hips 38", length in front 38", length in back 43"
Condition - overall very good.  This skirt is close to 130 years old.  It has 1 very, very small spot on the front  - about 6" below the waistband.  Also, some very light fraying along the bottom edge of the back hem.  However, the fabric is sturdy & the colors are still fresh & clear.  So, overall very good - especially for such an old garment.
