Closes with metal zipper and hooks on the waist
Fabric is a medium weight quilted cotton. It is backed with a beige cotton. There is a batting material inside that is not seen but gives the skirt its weight and quilting. The entire skirt is top stitched in gold metallic thread.
Condition
The gold metallic thread is coming undone in places. This happens mostly along the top of the skirt and the underside of the hem. All the places where the fabric would rub against the arms or legs. This was hard to repair since I did not have the exact gold metallic thread to resew with. I mostly tucked any loose gold threads into the interior of the skirt.
It is hand hemmed.
What Diane Likes About This Skirt.
Quilted skirts have a sculptural quality to them due to the thickness of the quilted fabric. They can accommodate lots of petticoats and really make a large statement. This skirt has a beautiful blue pattern that is rich. The gold metallic threads give it some reflective sparkle.
"Don't be into trends. Don't make fashion own you, but you decide what you are,
what you want to express by the way you dress and the way to live." —Gianni Versace
This skirt weighs well over1 pound and will ship priority mail. Perhaps in a medium flat rate box.
I have a large amount of vintage clothing and I list throughout the week.
