    Description

    Actual Measurements
    Waist 26 inches
    Hips are full
    Total length 45 inches
    Hem circumference 80 inches
To make sure something will fit, take measurements from a piece of clothing that fits you well and use those measurements
to compare. If you use your personal actual measurements, you should always figure needing two inches extra for breathing room.
Label- No label. This could be home sewn
Closes with metal zipper and two large hooks.
Fabric- Both the brown and the black fabric is linen based. The brown is a rougher, coarser weave than the black.  The black fabric seems to be a heavier weight than the brown.  I show a photo of the back side of the embroidery. It is machine done, but it has some age to it. Most machine embroidery is done close to the fabric surface. This has long threads and mimics hand sewn work. The skirt is unlined.
    Condition
The skirt is in very good condition. It has a rustic vibe to it. I show a photo of the inside and bottom edge of the skirt. You can see the hem is unfinished. It is the selvage edge of the fabric. You can also see that the seam edges have a zig zag finish and this is to keep the linen threads from unraveling.
What Diane Likes About This Skirt
This skirt is what vintage is all about. It does not tell you much about how it came into being. More than likely, it sprung from the imagination and creativity of one person. For what purpose is also unknown. I like this as everyday wear. It is unpolished and goes against so much of the sleekness and fast fashion of the world. It is real, unique, and original. There will not be another one out there. It can also serve as a costume look or for the theater. It has a wonderful peasant/ethnic/folk vibe that I like.
Fashion is what people tell you to wear. Style is what comes from your own inner thing. Pauline Trigere
This skirt is heavy, at over 1.5 pounds. It will ship priority mail.
I have a large amount of vintage clothing and will list throughout the week.
