collectible French coin
is the product of a collaboration between the Paris Mint, Monnaie de Paris, and the Sèvres Factory. The collaboration celebrates the two traditional French craftsmanships of metalwork and ceramics. Founded under Louis XV, the factory has been around since 1740. During this time span, it has continually kept up with new practices of illustrating, modeling, enameling, and more. This particular coin marks the 275th anniversary of the factory and all the history that happened during its run. The featured image on the ceramic insert showcases a portrait of Marie Antoinette, the last Queen of France before the revolution. She famously resided at Versailles.
