This unique set from the United States Mint at West Point features 3 coins beautifully struck in .9999 fine 24-karat gold, symbolic of each coin’s denomination of the 1916 half-dollar, quarter and dime.
The cornerstone of this set commemorates the Adolph A. Weinman original “Walking Liberty” half-dollar design, while the second coin in the set celebrates Hermon A. MacNeil’s original “Standing Liberty” quarter design, and the third coin in the set features Adolph A. Weinman’s original Winged Liberty design. All 3 of these coins commemorate the first year of these United States Mint productions from 1916, but this time in pure gold!
The “Walking Liberty” gold coin features a full-length figure of Liberty in her full brilliant stride, enveloped in folds of the flag, with her right arm extended and branches of laurel and oak in her left hand to symbolize both civil and military glory. God Bless America!
The “Standing Liberty” gold coin features Lady Liberty holding a shield and olive branch as she steps through an opening in the wall bearing 13 stars commemorating America’s original 13 colonies!
Finally, our “Winged Liberty” gold coin features a stoic portrait of Lady Liberty facing left, wearing her winged cap!
