    Description

Feel like an antique princess, in this special, one-of-a-kind skirt with ribbon work flower bouquets!
This incredible skirt was in fairly rough shape when I found it. Thanks to some rehab efforts, it is ready to wear once again. The skirt base is an ivory or bone colored pure silk weave, with a light to medium weight hand. Skirt silhouette is A-line with a slight dip at the center back hem. The waistband is finished in a bias-cut silk fabric, while the center front has a lovely, ivory colored (tambour?) lace panel. Two self-fabric ruffle trims extend from the lace panel, echoing panniers, and meeting at the back with three graceful swoops. This trim is peaked five times with small silk ribbon work floral bouquets in light pink and bright pink rosettes. I have re-worked these bouquets, leaving the original rosettes, but replacing the original leaves (I managed to source 1940's millinery leaves as the closest replacement), and replacing original bouquet ribbons (original were silk and light pink) with rayon ribbons in a bolder blue hue. The waist has been modified from its original sizing, and has been taken out an inch or two -if you would like me to move the hook + eye closure to your exact waist measurement, I am happy to do this (free of charge!) upon purchase, please message me. This is a hand-made skirt, and one of a kind, so there are no labels or maker's marks present. The overall condition is good and very wearable, with some light marks and moderate stains throughout, as well as a few repaired areas where the fabric has weakened. Please review photographs for full details, and/or reach out with any questions.
