This is a very large, displayable plate of Middle Cambrian fossils.
This distinct slab displays a GIANT Urn sponge and multiple Elrathia trilobites
from the Wheeler Formation of Utah.
The sponge is HUGE - over four inches tall! The impressive sponge has been diligently extracted from the surrounding rock. There is also a large cluster of Elrathia trilobites preserved at the bottom of the plate. The dark black fossils contrast well with the lighter-colored rock. This is a very cool example of a large Urn sponge and trilobites from the Middle Cambrian House Range.
