This is a special offering. It is a HUGE, unprepared, SPLIT PAIR Drotops armatus trilobite from Morocco. A Spiny Drotops is one of the largest, most impressive of the Moroccan phacopid trilobites, and this specimen is LARGE to say the least! The dense rock is split open into two pieces, and almost all of the trilobite is exposed in all its glory in one side...100% REAL! Only small sections of the bug are still embedded in the counterpart (negative) half. The striking trilobite has excellent natural color (WHITE SHELL!) and detail preserved, considering it has yet to be prepared (sandblasted)! This would be an easy bug to finish prep on - there are only a few spots that would have to be transferred from the negative. This is an ultra rare opportunity to own a COMPLETE SPLIT PAIR Spiny Drotops trilobite- how many trilobite collections or museums in the world can boast a unique piece like this???
