This is a very cool triple specimen of Holocystites scutellatus. These primitive cystoids are from the Silurian of Indiana. All three echinoderms are extremely inflated and well preserved. These distinct specimens exhibit very good plate structure - the highly pustulose plates are intact and well displayed. The cream-colored cystoids contrast beautifully with the blue-grey matrix. The distinct fossils are wonderfully displayed on the natural-edged plate of limestone. This is a fine display specimen of three Holocystites scutellatus cystoids from the ancient Indiana.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS.com is included with this specimen. Insurance is included in the cost of shipping.
