This is an amazing plate of trilobites that we have had in our collection for well over 20 years. We acquired this specimen unprepared, then prepared it under a microscope to expose the beautiful fossil plate you see here. There are FIVE complete and partial examples of Flexicalymene retrorsa on the slab. All of the trilobites are PRONE - it is extremely unusual that all of these trilobites are outstretched, as Flexicalymene is almost always found enrolled. All of the trilobites are very inflated, extremely detailed, and have great natural color and contrast preserved. The aesthetic bugs are naturally spaced (not composited!) on the large, unbroken slab of blue-grey shale. This is an extremely impressive multiple display plate of the classic trilobite, Flexicalymene retrorsa.
