This is a complete, outstretched Flexicalymene retrorsa from the Ordovician of Ohio. This distinct trilobite is inflated and 3-D. The large bug has very nice articulation with both free cheeks intact. The ancient arthropod exhibits fine detail and has wonderful, thick exoskeleton of a brownish color that contrasts very well with the light grey matrix. The striking trilobite is beautifully displayed on the large, natural plate of shale. This is a very nice specimen of a prone Flexicalymene retrorsa from Ohio.
