Fine 16.5cm X 9cm sharp Arumberia colony, Vendian, Longmyndian, Shropshire

Offered is a rare, good sized (approx. 16.5cm X 9cm) example of the enigmatic linear
Arumberia
sp.from the Upper Vendian, Longmyndian of Rattlinghope, Shropshire.
This crisp specimen shows at least three well defined sub-cylindrical shaped elements, each with fine sub-parallel linear striations, and all oriented in the same direction. Matrix approx  17cm X 9cm X 2.5cm. (weight 0.54kg)
A distinctive but poorly understood organism known from several European, UK and Russian localities of similar age.
