Formation: Massie Shale
This is a partial ventral calymenid trilobite. It is very likely the shovel-nosed trilobite
Spathacalymene nasuta
, but could also be a
Calymene
. It is tough to tell since the rostrum is missing. However,
Calymene
from the Massie Shale are much rarer than
Spathacalymene
, hence why it is likely the latter.
