RARE Cambrian trilobite Sweden Ellipsocephalus polytomus Ölandicus shale Närke

Description

Rarely seen complete trilobite from the Cambrian Oelandicus shale of southern Sweden. This layer at this locality contains an unpublished Konservat-Lagerstätte with several echinoderms, worms, lobopods and soft-bodied arthropods having been found there. Due to its poor exposure and tendency to dehydrate, it has remained largely unstudied which will hopefully change in the future.
From a German private collection with original label dating it to 1982.
