    Offered, from a redundant teaching collection, is a rare and well preserved item for the specialist collector: a 7.5cm essentially complete example of the Pod Shrimp
    Ceratiocaris stygia
    Salter,
    from the Middle Silurian; Wenlock Series, Preisthill Group; Dunside Fm., from the north side of Grouse Hill, Lesmahagow, UK.
    The ovate carapace shows good peripheral definition and internal detail, and the abdomen preserves much fine surface detail and the trifurcate telson spines are sharply preserved too.
