This auction is for two open 54mm miniatures as shown. I purchased them sometime around 1970 opened them, and as I was traveling, discarded the boxes, storing everything except the bases (too bulky) in a zipper-lock bag so I wouldn't lose any parts. I also got rid of one of the two instruction sheets. I stored them, meaning to get back to them, which of course I never did. My subject-matter tastes have changed so here they are. The models each consist of four pieces including a torso, with left and right arms, the AK-47 and the conical hat all separate. The instruction folder provides a pretty good primer on painting miniatures, some history, and recommended colors. It's got some warping from being in the bag with the figures forever, but otherwise is in new condition. In addition to the original boxes, the black plastic display bases are missing, too. Like most of the old Monogram Merite figures, they're solid, workmanlike fellows who will take paint well, and which will look good when finished. They have lived their entire long lives in a smoke-free environment. Paint them!
