Description

Plumulites:
Order: Turrilepadomorpha Family: Plumulititidae
Ordovician (Machaeridian.
Lower Ktaova, Mecissi, Morocco.
The fossil is 1 15/16” in length on an irregular
shaped plate.
This specimen has exceptional preservation, rust orange color and fine presence. One of the best quality ones I ever acquired at the Tucson Mineral and Fossil Show.
Comments: Plumulites was a slug like Metazoan, or, armored worm.  The armored annelid worm is the relative of the modern-day earthworm, leech and bristleworm.  They have only recently been quarried and brought to the fossil market place over the last few years. Generally, the preservation of the fossils is sketchy and poor, as they were soft-bodied.
Unfortunately, due to supply chain disruptions and customs
issues I will no longer ship to China. Yes, Japan,
South Korea, Singapore and Thailand are, as always, welcome to bid.
I SHIP INTERNATIONAL AND WORLDWIDE.
