Trilobite-Killer MONSTER 2 1/4” Kentucky Flexicalymene meeki-Fossils Crinoid

Offered here is something rarely seen for sale at this size. It is a monster Flexicalymene meeki trilobite from the Coryville Formation from Boone County, Kentucky, Ordovician in age. The trilobite measures a whopping 2 1/4” long as is about as perfect as they get. Up until about 6 years ago, a 2” Flexicalymene was the “holy grail”. A site was found in Kentucky that was quickly dug out containing monster trilobites. The largest found was 2 3/4”. All are in private collections or museums and I was lucky enough to hunt at the site for one day. Unfortunately, I didn’t find any, but was able to acquire this one. It’s now time to part with it as I’m slowly liquidating things I don’t collect. As you can see from the pictures, the trilobite is almost perfectly symmetrical and has a slight contraflex to it. It was found loose and remounted on the actual cap rock of the site. If you have purchased multiple items, please do not send payment until I send an invoice.
