Trilobite-Unprepared Waldron Shale Calymene-Fossils Crinoid

Offered here is an unprepared Calymene breviceps trilobite from the Waldron Shale Formation from Blue Springs Quarry (filled with water) in Waldron, Indiana, Silurian in age. The trilobite measures 1” long. The matrix measures 4 1/2” x 2 1/2”. As you can see from the pictures, the trilobite only shows its head, but I glued it back together as there was a complete body in a cross section. I would not have brought it home if it wasn’t complete. I’d prepare it, but waiting on parts from Crystal Mark. As with all unprepared trilobites, buyer understands that it may not
turn out, but as stated above, I wouldn’t have brought it home if I didn’t think it was complete.
This beautiful piece was found about 20 years ago during the time we had a lease on part of the old Blue Springs Quarry outside Waldron, Indiana. The quarry is full of water and is in a legal battle.
