    Description

Vintage David Kapp's New Panorama of the Rhine from Mentz to Cologne - original edition, elegantly printed in colours and ornamented with numerous views - written in English.  No date - looks to be early 1900's in color, since the original black and white edition was issued earlier in mid 1800's
11 page folding color lithographed panorama of the course of the Rhine between Mentz and Cologne, titled (in English) at the foot "David Kapp's Panorama of the Rhine from Mentz to Cologne", printed by Reuter & Wallau ("Original Edition"). Variously illustrated on each folding page with places of historical interest. With the front cover only of the boards with pasted-down label, titled in German and the other in English.
Map folds out to 11 pages measuring 11" x 69" in length with 24 pages of text in English.  Book measures 6 1/2" x 11 1/4".
Book is in Fair Condition:  Book (hard cover,  binding and pages) shows signs of wear from usage and shelf life over the years consistent with age.  The hard cover jacket is worn and in pieces, corners are bumped, and exterior spine damage.
Pages are good with readable text, foxing of pages throughout the book, and has some penciled writing along some of the page edges around text.  The Map Pages and Text Pages are intact.  The text pages are together, but are detached from the booklet.
Book has been secured in a plastic bag to prevent further damage.
