    Description

Travel books and a map book regarding Fulda as well as a tour book about Rothenburg on the Taber which is about 101 miles south of Fulda.
“Guide to Fulda and the Surrounding Areas: Fulda, A German Barock City”
The introduction by Dr. Dregger, Oberbuermeister is dated 1957
    “Fulda liebenswert-lebenswert Stadtplan”
    Street map book dated 1984
(Before the Wall came down in 1989)
    “Rothenburg-on the Taber Guide
Guide to Rothenburg on the Tauber”
With illustrations and a Plan of the Town
Revised and enlarged by Ernst Geissendorf
“Colorful half-timber houses and cobblestone alleys of Rothenburg weren’t magical enough on their own, the village is also encircled by a timeless Medieval wall. As early as 1142AD, sections of the fortified stone wall were protecting the young trading center and its royal castle.”
The architecture was the inspiration for Disney’s Pinocchio
Rothenburg has a fascinating and complicated history-considered the most German of German towns, the Nazi’s believed the rest of Germany should be.
Bombed once-Allies recognized the historic significance and offered to not bomb it again if they surrendered peacefully
They did, ignoring Hitlers orders to save their town.
All are in good condition. Rothenburg book is a little more worn, pages have aged more than the others. Please see pictures.
