Good size for the species, often wrongly identified in the market.
Presented is a complete external mold (negative) with both genals and macropleurae. One truly interesting and rare collector item.
The yellow halo around the specimen indicates that a lot of dissolution took place in a late diagenetic phase, probably related to subrecent weathering (typical for fine-grained rocks in semi-arid areas).
The specimen is complete and displays remarkable preservation, even showing partially the hypostome imprint.
Both genals and macropleurae genals present, terrace lines are visible. Difficult characteristics to find in one external mold.
The exoskeleton shows a yellow colour, due to the replacement of the original cuticular substances with argillaceous, phosphatic and ferritic minerals.
